iEngage Indiana offers a compelling and free civics day camp experience for 5th to 9th graders, designed to foster civic awareness and engagement among youth in the Columbus area. Inspired by the award-winning iEngage program at Baylor University, the camp immerses participants in a week of action-oriented learning. Through inquiry-based civics projects, campers delve into local issues, interact with civic leaders, and participate in activities that enhance their understanding of government and community involvement. Directed by experts from Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus and the Center on Representative Government, iEngage equips young individuals with the knowledge and skills to become proactive citizens, capable of contributing to their communities and advocating for meaningful change.
