Purdue Summer Civics Program for High School Teachers
Purdue University’s Summer Civics Program is a four-day professional learning opportunity designed for high school educators who want to strengthen civic literacy, deepen their understanding of foundational American principles, and explore effective strategies for civic education in the classroom. The program is connected to Purdue’s civics-focused work through the Cornerstone Institute for Civic Thought and the Program on American Institutional Renewal. Jesse Crosson serves as a co-director of PAIR, and Sebastian Graham is an assistant director in Purdue’s Institute for Civic Thought.
Teachers interested in learning more can join a virtual information session on Thursday, April 30 at 5:00 p.m. The summer program itself will take place at Purdue University in West Lafayette from July 21–24, 2026. Participating teachers will receive a $400 honorarium. Applications are due May 25.
