On September 14, 2026, the IU Center on Representative Government, in partnership with the Indiana Council for the Social Studies, invites Indiana educators to a free, immersive one-day professional development workshop on the IU Bloomington campus.
Led by Dr. Elizabeth R. Osborn, this exclusive session offers a deep dive into the Declaration of Independence, highlighted by a special guided tour of the Lilly Library to view the historic document firsthand.
Participants will collaborate to connect founding principles with current curriculum standards, utilizing CORG’s Engaging Congress digital tool to develop dynamic, classroom-ready lesson plans.
