28 28 people viewed this event.
Following the end of the Holocaust and World War II, survivors faced an important decision: Return to their pre-war homes, or start a new life elsewhere? For the hundreds of thousands who looked to leave post-war Europe, options were often limited and filled with obstacles. In this workshop, use primary source documents and survivor testimony to explore the choices and barriers survivors faced and how they succeeded in building new lives in the United States.
