Financial Literacy: Free Access to the Financial Times

The Financial Times offers FT Schools, a free digital access program for students ages 16–19 and their teachers. Through this program, eligible secondary schools can provide students and educators with access to FT journalism, including reporting and analysis on business, economics, politics, global affairs, technology, culture, and current events.

This opportunity can be especially useful for social studies, economics, government, world history, geography, business, and media literacy classrooms. FT Schools helps students engage with real-world issues while building news literacy, critical thinking, global awareness, and informed discussion skills. Teachers can use FT articles, charts, data, videos, newsletters, and curriculum-connected content to support classroom instruction and help students connect course concepts to current events.

Students may also benefit from access to weekly newsletters, competitions, and resources designed to broaden their understanding of global business, politics, economics, and culture. The program is available to teachers and students at eligible schools worldwide.
