Indiana Mock Trial Program

The Indiana Mock Trial Program is an exceptional opportunity for high school students to develop critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the legal system. Hosted by the Indiana Bar Foundation, this immersive program allows students to step into the roles of attorneys, witnesses, and other courtroom figures to compete in a simulated trial experience. Through preparation and competition, students hone their ability to analyze evidence, craft compelling arguments, and respond dynamically to objections, all while fostering confidence and collaboration.

Open to students from across Indiana, the program culminates in regional and state competitions where teams present their cases before real judges and attorneys. Guided by experienced teacher-coaches and legal mentors, participants are exposed to the intricacies of trial procedure and legal reasoning. Beyond the competition, students build essential life skills, from teamwork to persuasive communication, while also exploring potential career paths in law and public service. The Indiana Mock Trial Program is an unparalleled chance for students to engage with the law and prepare for their future in an interactive, impactful way.
